Adrian Schoonmaker is the founder and lead editor of Ye Olde Wordsmith. He first received national recognition in writing and language some 16 years ago with numerous awards and published works, and has since continued to develop his writing and editing skills. Adrian holds two master's degrees, including an M. A. in Journalism, with an emphasis on Professional Writing and Magazine Journalism. He is one of the few professional editors and proofreaders endorsed by the Regent University College of Communication and the Arts (Va. Beach).
Adrian's area of expertise is in editing academic manuscripts, such as theses and dissertations; he is well-versed in all major style books and some minor ones as well. In addition to his full-time employment as a minister, Adrian is also a public speaking professor at a local community college. His teaching experience includes high school writing classes as well as college English. Adrian and his wife, Jocelyn, live in Virginia Beach with their three children: Lukas, Rhys, and Leilani.
